Humility

If there is one thing that I would have too point out that God has showed me the absolute most this last year it's that humility is key too leading worship.

So many worship leaders and see themselves as musicians who are using their gifts of music too glorify God. But in reality we are created as worshipers who have gifts given too us in order too worship. We cant look at the gifts God gifts as merely something we can use too glorify God. But we need to realize that the gifts God gave us are for the sole purpose of worshiping, and then leading people into the presence of God.

Another thing that I have struggled with so much in the short time that I have lead worship is the mindset that I am better than everyone else because I'm up on that stage leading them into worship. But that is so wrong. I am a sinner just like everyone else in that room, and I have been saved by the same Grace. Because of my sin I am not qualified too even worship the Lord, but because of Grace I can not only worship our Lord. But through the Holy Spirit I can literally kneel at his thrown and bask in His Glory.

So knowing this Grace how can I possibly think of myself better than anyone else. Instead, before every worship set I remind myself of that Grace putting me in a place of complete surrender too what God wants too do. This fresh mindset of humility has impacted my worship dramatically and i believe will continue too change and develop how I worship.
